From the World Trade Center, we think of the heroes: 343 firefighters, 23 NYC police officers, 37 Port Authority officers and countless unnamed civilians who lost their lives attempting to save others. From Flight 93, we think of the courage and resignation of fate. From the Pentagon, the men and women led to safety by a stranger or an angel on their shoulder.
But most of all, we think of the sheer tragedy, the lost innocence and the new normal.
Take the time today to look back and forward. Each moment is a gift, don't waste them.
